Foodie Friday – New Food Trucks

We love food trucks and we’re happy to hear that 15 new ones that have just hit the streets! Travel + Escape recently ranked our street food scene as the third best in North America and the new trucks help add more flavour to the phenomenom. The new trucks will be found outside Olympic Village SkyTrain Station, at Abbott Street near Rogers Arena, around Victory Square, (across from Vancouver Community College) and seven vendors will form a ‘pod’ along Hamilton Street outside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

We’re excited to try all of them, especially newbies like Reel Mac ‘n’ Cheese’s movie-inspired mac, Aussie Pie Guy, Fat Duck Mobile Eatery and Stir It Up – a Bob Marley themed bicycle coffee stall.

More familiar names such as Culver City Salad and Dougie’s Dog will also be appearing in truck form and other new choices range from Belgian waffles to kosher Israeli food and Filipino fusion dishes.

Try the city’s street food vendor map to keep track of where the 114 food trucks will be located. Photo courtesy of REEL Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
