Drink of the Week – Anjou Mama

Anjou Mama

Despite the gloomy name, Death & Co is actually a celebration of the art of the bartender (the name comes from during Prohibition when drinking alcohol was a risky business) and it is a dark speakeasy in New York’s trendy East Village. We stopped by there on a recent trip to NYC and tried a deliciously golden Anjou Mama cocktail with Pennyroyale-infused Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, Tanqueray No. 10 gin, Orgeat, cinnamon bark, syrup, Acacia honey syrup and fresh lemon juice; all muddled with Anjou pear.
