Royal Wedding Gown

For those of you who didn’t stay up to catch the spectacle, Princess Kate looked positively stunning in her classic ivory and white satin gazar gown designed by Sarah Burton of UK’s most acclaimed label Alexander McQueen. The dress is simple yet elegant with long sleeves of lace, the front cut in a low V and skirt narrow at the waist …with white satin arches and pleats. Kate’s veil is long and sheer, made of beautiful ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers showcasing a 1936 Cartier ‘halo’ tiara lent to her by the Queen.

The dress choice was an absolute triumph in our books and while it represents a new breed of the British monarchy, she still proves to be respectful of her boundaries and traditions.
