Tiffany Unveils New RUBEDOâ„¢ Metal to Mark 175th Anniversary

In honour of its 175th anniversary, Tiffany & Co. has unveiled RUBEDOâ„¢ metal, the very first such creation in Tiffany’s history. RUBEDOâ„¢ metal marries the richness of gold, the brilliance of silver and the warmth of copper. Metallurgists experimented with different ratios over a long testing period until they achieved the desired colour, radiant with the glow of “first light” that awakens a sense of wonder and ennobles the spirit. This unique alloy is lightweight yet strong, polishes to a smooth luster and is exceptionally flattering to the skin.

Among the luminous creations is an elongated cuff that crisply incorporates the hallmark at the cuff’s edge. A similarly contoured ring carries the Tiffany legacy with equal grace. Tiffany designers also contrast the warmth of RUBEDOâ„¢ with sterling silver in a pendant and necklace of interlocking circles of great movement and dimension. Tiffany 1837â„¢ RUBEDOâ„¢ jewellery designs inscribed with the signature of founder Charles Lewis Tiffany are available for 2012, in celebration of Tiffany’s 175th anniversary year.

The RUBEDOâ„¢ collection is available at Tiffany & Co. Vancouver locations at 723 Burrard Street (#604-630-1300) and Oakridge Centre (#778-785-2450), from the Tiffany website at www.tiffany.ca, or by calling 1-800-265-1251.
