Foodie Friday – Three Distillery Long Table


Now that the temperature’s dropped we’re looking for fun ways to warm up… and a glass of great whisky and a table full of good company are top of our list.

The Irish Heather’s Long Table series is taking a trip to bonny Scotland on Tuesday 22nd with an Auchentoshan cocktail reception in Shebeen Whisky House; followed by a tasting flight of four scotch whiskies in the Irish Heather.

Tastings will be conducted by Scotsman and Master of the Malt Iain McCallum from Morrison Bowemore distilleries. Iain’s talk will be followed by a long table meal of braised beef cheeks with pearl barley and spinach ‘risotto’ and then a dessert of warm chocolate bread pudding. Dessert will be paired with a 15-year-old Bowmore whisky… we’re feeling warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
