Hawksworth Team Honoured by Hat Trick Win

24th Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards

Restaurant of the Year

Chef of the Year, David Hawksworth

Gold, Best Upscale Restaurant

The Hawksworth Restaurant team returned to the awards podium to collect three of the city’s most sought-after titles, at the annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.

Holding on to the coveted top spot for a second year running Chef Hawksworth said, “We are elated, to secure three of the city’s most prized industry awards, not once, but now two years consecutively is beyond what we dared to wish for; my thanks goes out to the entire team.”

The Hawksworth experience guided by Chef Hawksworth and executed by general manager Chad Clark, chef de cuisine Kristian Eligh, wine director Bryant Mao, and head bartender Cooper Tardivel was noted by judges for delivering consistency across the guest experience.

Of Chef Hawksworth, Vancouver magazine reported: “He continues to astound” – high praise indeed from the venerable collection of judges at the helm of Vancouver’s highly revered dining awards. “A menu confidently straddling the Pacific” touches on the overarching personality of Vancouver itself, with one foot in North America and one in Asia; contemporary Canadian cuisine at its finest.

Vancouver Magazine editor-in-chief, John Burns, describes Hawksworth Restaurant as offering “risk-taking, world-class dine fining” with other judges noting that Chef Hawksworth has “changed the landscape of dining in this city”.
