Foodie Friday – Outstanding in the Field

Outstanding in the Field is on tour this summer and tomorrow the roving culinary adventure arrives in Vancouver! Since 1999 the organization has been setting up long table diners in farms and gardens to celebrate local food and tomorrow it comes to UBC’s city farm. Situated in a 90-year-old coastal hemlock forest, the Outstanding in the Field dinner will take place amongst orchards and forest and farmers Amy Frye and Tim Carter will take guests on a tour of the farm that ends at the table. LaStella wines and food from guest chefs Lucais Syme and Adam Pegg of La Quercia fame will be on the menu. Starting at 4pm, this looks to be an outstanding evening for foodies!
