NHL Stars And Community Leaders Come Together For The 8th Annual Fishing For Kids Tournament

With the breath-taking beauty of Haida Gwaii as the back drop, The West Coast Fishing Club is proud to present the 8th Annual Fishing for Kids Tournament benefitting the Canucks Autism Network.

The unique fundraising event has raised over $4 million dollars to date – including $1 million at last year’s event – making the Fishing for Kids Tournament at The West Coast Fishing Club one of the most unique and successful fundraising events in the province.

“We are thrilled that there is so much anticipation for 2013’s Fishing For Kids tournament,” said Brian Grange, Vice President of of the Vancouver Canucks organization.”

The Canucks Autism Network, founded by Paolo and Clara Aquilini, helps 800 families in over 45 communities throughout BC enhance the quality of life for children and young people living with autism. “We’re grateful to everyone involved,” says Paolo Aquilini. “This tournament will positively help BC’s children and young adults who are struggling with the daily challenges of autism.”

The Fishing for Kids Tournament has come to be recognized as the premier fishing tournament in the Pacific Northwest and is made possible thanks to the generous support of its sponsors, including Macquarie, The West Coast Fishing Club, Vancouver Canucks, Ledcor Group of Companies, Helijet, Aria Resort & Casino, The Province and Vancouver Sun, Helly Hansen and Delta Group.
