Foodie Friday – Vancouver Christmas Market

Let the countdown to Christmas begin! With only a week to go before the opening of the 2013 Vancouver Christmas Market, we’re starting to get excited about the festivities and we’re especially looking forward to all the wonderful food there.

We love filling up on the bratapfel (stuffed apples) from the German Apfelhaus hut and Käsespätzle (pasta cooked with cheese, bacon and onion) at Das Deutsche Nudelhaus before we look around the pretty marketplace. We need plenty of hearty fare to soak up all the glühwein (mulled wine) and feuerzangenbowle (mulled wine with a rum-flambéed sugar cube) that we’ll be tasting at the market!
