Cherry blossoms and daffodils are now in bloom and the start of spring signals the return of Bel Café’s sought-after hot cross buns for Easter. Also, joining the line-up this spring are some brand new creations from Chef Wayne Kozinko that are guaranteed to get even the Easter bunny hopping through the door.

Starting this week, hot cross buns will be available individually for $2.80, as well as by the half dozen ($16.80) and dozen ($33.60). To avoid disappointment we encourage pre-ordering online at www.belcafe.com and the Bel Café team will have them packaged ready for pick up.

New for the Easter season are delicate yet scrumptious Religieuse, a traditional French pastry named after the nuns that they resemble. Crafted from two choux puffs filled with either a whipped dark chocolate and orange Valrhona ganache or calamansi crème finished with a white chocolate ganache; each variation is also topped with a beautiful Valrhona chocolate décor. Priced at $6.20 and available daily from March 23 to April 6.

For those looking for a special treat to take away for family or friends, the beautifully packaged pastel-coloured Easter themed marshmallows ($8) can be found on our retail wall and they come in a variety of flavours: lime, blackcurrant and raspberry and make a soft, bouncy treat for children and adults, from March 23 to April 6.
