Halloween is just around the corner! Whether you are looking for classic thrills and chills or family-friendly festivities, we’ve got you covered. Check out our top five Halloween events in Metro Vancouver this year.

 

Fright Nights at Playland

Be prepared to get scared! Western Canada’s spookiest haunt, Fright Nights at Playland has returned for another year. The park features seven haunted houses, including Keepers Doll Factory and Hollywood Horrors, as well as 15 rides like Playland’s newest pendulum ride of terror, The Beast. FrightPasses can be purchased online or at Lower Mainland 7-Eleven stores.

When: On now until Sunday, November 1: various times

Potter’s House of Horrors

This is a goosebumps guaranteed event for all horror hounds! Possibly the scariest haunted house in all of BC, Potter’s House of Horrors will make your heart race. It features two separate houses: the first will take you back to 19th century England – watch out for infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper – and the second house will take you on a journey through a haunted mansion in a Louisiana swamp. Ticket prices start at $10.

When: Every night from now until October 31; various times

Halloween Ghost Train in Stanley Park

All aboard! The Halloween Ghost Train in Stanley Park is the perfect activity for the whole family. Journey through a mystical and magical Halloween world and listen to frightfully fun tales based on cinema horror classics like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Phantom of the Opera. Tickets are $6 to $11.

When: Now until Sunday, November 1; Mon-Thu, 5:30pm – 9:30pm, Fri-Sun, 11am – 10pm
Where: Stanley Park Train – Pipeline Road, Stanley Park (north of the bus loop)

 

The Lost Souls of Gastown

Explore a long-forgotten Gastown on this gruesomely gothic walking tour! The Lost Souls of Gastwon immerse visitors into the city’s dark history and mysteries of the 1800s when Vancouver was a violent frontier town. Listen to tales of a terrible plague, a fire that ate up Gastown in minutes, and much more. Tickets are $19 for students and $22 for adults.

When: Now until Saturday, October 31; 8pm + extra times

Halloween Costume Ball

Planning to go all out with your Halloween costume this year? Then the Halloween Costume Ball is the place for you! Party it up at the most spectacular and spookiest Halloween event in the city at Telus World of Science, spanning two floors with six DJs and performers and five fully licensed bars. Rock the night away with over 1,100 ghoulish partiers! Tickets are $70.

When: Saturday, October 31; 9pm – 2am
Where: Telus World of Science
