Celebrate Nita Lake Lodge’s new two-tiered patio with BC’s best breweries and wineries

Whistler, BC, (March 14, 2016) – Say cheers to the changing season with Nita Lake Lodge’s Brewmaster and Winemaker Dinner series. Starting on March 17, and continuing through the summer until July 7, the four dinners will highlight the best of BC’s sensational seasonal food from Nita Lake Lodge Executive Chef Dean Hossack, paired exquisitely with some of BC’s best wine, local beer or a selection of Belgium brews.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these amazing local producers to Aura Restaurant and showcase the best of BC’s vibrant craft beer and wine industry,” says Executive Chef Dean Hossack. “We’re lucky to have such a beautiful backdrop of the mountains and lakes and an abundance of local food to get creative with: It’s been a fun challenge to create seasonal dishes to match the different flavour profiles of the pairings.”

Painted Rock Estate Winery, producers of ultra premium wine from Penticton in the Okanagan Valley, will be kicking off the series with a paired four-course dinner by Chef Hossack at Aura Restaurant on Thursday March 17. Menu highlights include Northern Albertan wild boar belly with faro stew, black olives and confit cherry tomatoes, and Fraser Valley pheasant and chicken terrine all paired with vintages from Painted Rock.

On Thursday April 7, Nita welcomes North Vancouver’s Deep Cove Brewery for a beer-paired four-course menu from Chef Hossack. Go al fresco on Thursday June 30 with an unforgettable pairing of the view from the lakeside patio at Aura Restaurant, beverages from Belgium beer brewers and a four-course barbecue dinner, cooked up by Chef Hossack.

Enjoy a taste of BC wines and savour sips from Okanagan Crush Pad Winery on Thursday July 7 with a four-course wine-paired dinner produced by Chef Hossack and served under the stars on Aura’s lakeside patio.

All dinners start at 6.30pm (one seating only) and are limited to 80 guests – tickets for the brewery dinners are $59pp (plus tax and grats) and winery dinners are $79pp (plus tax and grats).
