Passes Go Off Sale Dec. 3. Don’t Miss the Final Chance to Lock in a Pass or EDGE Card for the Ski & Ride Season at Whistler Blackcomb
Whistler Blackcomb is scheduled to open this week, and if you are planning to ski or ride this season, you have less than two weeks to lock in your Pass to save big on lift access. Epic Passes, EDGE Cards, Whistler Blackcomb Day Passes (1-10 days), and Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Season Passes go off sale at 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, Dec. 3.
Whether planning to hit the slopes one day or every day, by purchasing a pass now, guests will get the best value, plus flexibility and benefits not offered with traditional lift tickets – passes provide up to 65% savings compared to lift ticket prices.
“Opening day at Whistler Blackcomb is right around the corner, and the enthusiasm for winter can be felt throughout the resort,” said Whistler Blackcomb COO Belinda Trembath. “Passes provide guests with the best value when visiting our resort and experiencing all it has to offer, from world-class skiing and riding to incredible on-mountain dining and lodging. On the heels of the exciting accolade of being named the #1 Ski Resort by Wall Street Journal, we look forward to delivering an experience of a lifetime to our Pass Holders and guests.”
The Epic Pass offers the best deal in skiing and riding, with unmatched value and access to the world’s best destination resorts and close-to-home ski areas, including unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Whistler Blackcomb, Vail, Park City Mountain, plus additional access to Kicking Horse, Fernie and more. Epic Passes also include 20% off on-mountain dining, group ski and ride lessons, lodging, rentals and more with Epic Mountain Rewards. The Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Pass and EDGE Cards also include great perks such as savings on lodging, shopping, and group lessons and camps.
Those who buy their season pass or EDGE Card now will also unlock access to discounted lodging rates through Vail Resorts’ Pass Holder Exclusive Cyber Sale from Nov. 21 – 27. The Pass Holder Exclusive Cyber Sale will offer up to 20% off lodging rates this winter season, plus up to 20% off with your Perks. Season Pass and EDGE Card holders will have discounted lodging options across Vail Resorts’ portfolio of hotels, condos and premier vacation residences. Lodging options in Whistler Blackcomb include Evolution, First Tracks Lodge, and Legends. For additional premier lodging options, visit Whistler Blackcomb’s lodging page.
Consistent with last season, Whistler Blackcomb will limit lift tickets every day throughout the 2023/24 winter season to preserve the guest experience for Pass Holders. If tickets are sold out online, guests will not be able to purchase them at ticket windows. Passes, including Whistler Blackcomb Day Passes, will not be restricted beyond any peak dates excluded on a restricted pass. There will also be no impact to guests who enroll in ski and snowboard lessons that include lift access, or to Pass Holder benefit tickets.
2023/24 NORTH AMERICAN SEASON LAUNCH
Whistler Blackcomb is scheduled to open this week on November 23. Six resorts across Vail Resorts’ portfolio of mountain resorts – Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Stowe and Okemo – have already opened for the season with the right combination of snow, cold temperatures, snowmaking, and hard work by the company’s passionate team members. The season will continue through the spring, with Whistler Blackcomb and Breckenridge planning to stay open into May.
Debuting at Whistler Blackcomb this season, the Fitzsimmons Express will be replaced with a high-speed, 8-person chairlift – the first of its kind across Vail Resorts’ North American resorts. The upgrade will help reduce lift line wait times out of the base at Skier’s Plaza in Whistler Village, increasing uphill capacity and improving circulation in the mid-mountain area.
Guest experiences at Whistler Blackcomb will include The Gondola Gallery by Epic: an outdoor art installation and film series that celebrates the unique backgrounds of skiers and snowboarders. Vail Resorts commissioned artists to create art-wrapped gondola cabins as a visual representation of the different ways skiers and snowboarders experience the mountains. These one-of-a-kind art installations are an invitation and a message of inclusion to all.
Whistler Blackcomb is located on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and Lilwat7úl (Lil’wat Nation). In celebration and appreciation of the history, art and culture of the Squamish and Lil’wat people, WINGS OF THUNDER, created by Chepximiya Siyam’ Janice George and Skwetsimeltxw Willard ‘Buddy’ Joseph, and RED, created by Levi Nelson, will wrap two of the cabins of Whistler Blackcomb’s Peak 2 Peak Gondola.
Images of the final artwork and the film series at Whistler Blackcomb will be released in the spring of 2024.
