CanaDream marks 30th anniversary and celebrates recognition as a finalist for Business of the Year at the Canadian Tourism Awards

CanaDream, Canada’s leading RV rental and retail company, kicks off 2024 by marking 30 years in business. From humble beginnings with the acquisition of its first station in Calgary, founder Brian Gronberg insisted “we do not rent and sell RVs, our product is Canada.” To this day the tagline and ethos remains as the company invites guests to “experience Canada in their own space at their own pace”.

Today, CanaDream offers the most modern RV rental fleet in Canada, with approximately 1,500 meticulously maintained vehicles that are less than three seasons old, whilst operating across seven locations spanning the Atlantic Maritime coast to the Pacific Coast.  CanaDream offers a range of units to  suit every guest; from the deluxe campervan and right up to six and seven berth family sized motorhomes.

CanaDream was recently recognized as a finalist for the Business of the Year award at the Canadian Tourism Awards which honours organizations that provide exceptional experiences to travelers across Canada. These awards are highly competitive and feature nominees from all provinces and territories, selected by a jury of industry professionals.

“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition and to be celebrating 30 years in business,” says Kathryn Munro, Director of International Sales & Marketing at CanaDream. “Stay tuned as we announce special offers and activations at our stations throughout the year.”

CanaDream’s RVs are designed to provide the ultimate comfort and enjoyment on the road. Equipped with hotel-grade mattresses, linens, full bathrooms, and kitchens, they offer a sophisticated experience for travelers. Notably, CanaDream has the only certified Winter-ready RV in Canada, allowing guests to explore winter resorts and festivals with fully functioning running hot water even in temperatures as low as -30 degrees C.

As a company deeply invested in tourism, CanaDream provides detailed travel itineraries on its website to help guests explore every corner of Canada with ease. With over 3,500 CanaDream Club partners, guests can easily find campsites, attractions, and places of interest. CanaDream’s online Festival Finder, showcases festivals and events  all over Canada searchable by season, interest, or destination.

In 2023, CanaDream guests drove 20 million kms around Canada. The lead driver was on average 48 years of age and guests spent on average 13.3 nights on the road, with an average of three people per RV.  CanaDream’s advanced telematic tracking technology and data from its CanaDream Club indicate that guests are very active, they consume, they explore and they spend on attractions, activities, dining out, campsites, park passes and shopping. The company  estimates that its guests spent on average $400 per day on their road trip (excluding any rental costs), contributing an incredible $60M to the Canadian tourism economy.

Looking ahead, CanaDream is committed to making a difference through its CanaDream Cares initiative and the development of its Future Fit strategy. These new initiatives aim to ensure that the company’s teams and guests are engaged in responsible practices in business, local communities, and across Canada.
