Magnolia Hotel & Spa Retains Coveted Spot on Travel + Leisure’s 2024 T+L 500 List of the Best Hotels in the World

Victoria’s most award-winning boutique hotel celebrates continued award success

Located in the heart of Victoria, the Magnolia Hotel & Spa is honoured to be named to Travel + Leisure’s T+L 500 list of the world’s best hotels, for the second consecutive year – the only Vancouver Island property featured in the prestigious list.

“We are incredibly proud and grateful to continue to feature alongside some of the world’s most celebrated hotels, in Travel + Leisure’s annual awards,” says Bill Lewis, General Manager of the Magnolia Hotel & Spa. “Not only are we truly thankful for our outstanding staff, who go above and beyond every day to offer the highest levels of service, but also to our wonderful guests who continue to share their appreciation for our boutique hotel.”

Each year, the readers of Travel + Leisure vote for their favorite destinations, city hotels, resorts, and more in the World’s Best Awards survey. Drawing on the 2023 World’s Best Awards survey results – where the Magnolia Hotel & Spa scored 92.00/100 and named #7 Favourite City Hotel in Canada – Travel + Leisure recognizes the 500 best hotels around the globe in the 2024 edition of the T+L 500. The T+L 500 properties are divided into eight geographic regions, designed to serve as a trusted resource for millions of enthusiastic travelers.

Moments from the picturesque Inner Harbour, the Magnolia Hotel & Spa offers a truly boutique experience for guests. The hotel offers 64 elegant guests rooms, some with gas fireplaces and Inner Harbour views, with thoughtful touches including Nespresso coffee, Dyson hair dryers, local amenities including Salt Spring Island Soapworks and Silk Road Tea, as well as signature restaurant The Courtney Room and Spa Magnolia in the hotel’s lobby.

The Magnolia Hotel & Spa is also celebrating achieving the BIOSPHERE© Sustainable Certification for hotels. This coveted tourism certification is designed to help travellers identify hotels that are committed to sustainable and responsible business practices. Locally and independently owned, the Magnolia Hotel & Spa demonstrated strength in key areas including building relationships with local farmers to showcase the freshest Vancouver Island produce on The Courtney Room’s menus; extended hotel bike and ebike program for guests; electric vehicle charging stations; and building local community partnerships to shine spotlights on small, independent brands thought their Curated Trails program of themed maps, designed to encourage guests to explore.

The 2024 T+L 500 is featured in the May 2024 issue of Travel + Leisure and select highlights of the list will be found at
