Who: This weekend, 500 guests will indulge in an unforgettable celebration of food, wine, and community as the beloved Pig Out Festival returns to Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. For the first time since 2019, the festival will once again welcome families, creating a lively, inclusive atmosphere for all ages. Set against the stunning backdrop of Cellar Door & More, just north of Oliver, B.C., attendees will enjoy inspired culinary creations from a curated lineup of local and guest chefs, paired with a wide selection of local wines. The 2025 theme, “When Pigs Fly,” brings a playful twist to the menu, highlighting imaginative pork dishes that showcase the rich flavors of the South Okanagan.
Culinary highlights include:
– Chef Shawn Cheer (Sweetgrass at Nk’Mip Cellars) – Smoked pulled pork, sweetgrass haskup jam & fry bread
– Chef Adair Scott (Terrafina Restaurant at Hester Creek Estate Winery)- Smoked pork belly steam buns with heirloom carrot slaw, herb sweet & sour BBQ sauce
– Chef Ian Stilborn (Ward’s Wine Country Kitchen at District Wine Village)- Truffle and porcini arancini + chili crunch aioli
– Chef Javier Blanc (The Paella Guys)- Arroz Con Costillas (paella with pork ribs), served with house made garlic aioli & lemon
– Olivier Mainville (Pit Stop Smokery)- Butterfly glazed pork belly bite
– Stuart Rolland (Rolland’s Meats)- “The Bacon Butty”: UK style, dry cured, bacon on a slider, with grass fed butter
– Chef Chandu Pote (Manzil Restaurant at Kismet Estate Winery) – Pork and potato kofta curry
– Two Rivers Meats- North Shore Smokie
Guests can expect an array of mouth-watering offerings, from juicy ribs and flavorful pulled pork to freshly grilled sausages, all perfectly paired with exceptional wines from over 25 of the region’s esteemed wineries.
Live entertainment will enhance the festive atmosphere, featuring performances by musicians Lee Anthony and Lochlan Gann, and a very special live theatre performance by the South Okanagan Amateur Players, as well as family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.
