CanaDream Celebrates Canadian Environment Week by Empowering Guests to “RV with Respect”

Canada’s leading RV experience provider encourages responsible travel through guest education, sustainability action plans, and industry partnerships

Rocky View, Alberta – May  28 2025 — In celebration of Canadian Environment Week (June 1-7), CanaDream RV is reaffirming its commitment to responsible tourism with the continued rollout of its CanaDream Cares: RV with Respect initiative. With thousands of guests travelling across Canada each year, CanaDream aims to support and inspire travellers to explore this vast and beautiful country more thoughtfully.

“At CanaDream, we believe responsible travel starts with awareness and action—both from our company and our guests,” says Kathryn Munro, VP of Sales and Marketing at CanaDream. “As facilitators of nature-based tourism, we have a responsibility to preserve the places and communities that make Canada so special. Our goal is to operate more sustainably, while empowering our guests to do the same.”

RV With Respect: 10 Principles for Responsible Travel

The RV with Respect program is at the heart of the CanaDream Cares platform, offering practical resources, guidance, and inspiration to help guests travel more responsibly. Through ten guiding principles, CanaDream encourages guests to minimize their impact and help protect Canada’s natural and cultural heritage.

RV With Respect Principles:

Drive Safely – Follow speed limits and road safety rules

Leave No Trace – Camp responsibly and protect nature

Protect Canada – Help preserve our landscapes for future generations

Respect Local Cultures – Embrace diversity and be considerate

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – Minimize waste

Dispose of Waste Properly – Use designated bins

Conserve Water – Limit water use and take shorter showers

Use Dump Stations – Dispose of waste responsibly

Respect Wildlife – Observe animals from a distance

Prevent Fires – Follow local fire safety regulations

These principles are built into CanaDream’s guest communication, blog content, station signage, and pre-trip education to encourage better travel habits and awareness from the very start of each journey.

Company-Wide Sustainability in Action

CanaDream’s commitment to environmental leadership extends to its operations. Across its seven stations nationwide, teams have implemented Sustainability Action Plans focused on five key impact areas:

Energy Efficiency: LED lighting installations across all branches

Water Conservation: Upgraded wash and maintenance equipment

Waste Reduction: Expanded recycling programs and elimination of single-use plastics

Emissions Reduction: Ongoing review of fuel efficiency and route planning

Community Contribution: Donating reusable items to local charities and organizations

CanaDream’s work is guided by the Future-Fit Business Benchmark, a science-based framework for aligning business practices with global sustainability goals. As part of the thl global group, CanaDream contributes to a long-term, transparent sustainability strategy rooted in accountability and progress.

Partnerships That Make a Difference

Through the CanaDream Club, the company partners with tourism providers across Canada who share a commitment to sustainability.
