Magnolia Hotel & Spa introduces the Infinite Coast Collection

Three new Curated Trail maps share the best of Victoria’s coastal community, culture and beauty

Victoria, BC (September 15, 2025): The Magnolia Hotel & Spa invites guests to explore Vancouver Island beyond the guidebook with three new Curated Trail maps, designed to connect visitors with Vancouver Island’s culture, cuisine, and natural beauty.

The Infinite Coast Collection is the latest chapter in the Magnolia Hotel & Spa’s Curated Trails map program offering self-guided journeys that celebrate Vancouver Island’s land, sea and local communities.

“We’re thrilled to introduce these new Curated Trails as part of our commitment to making every stay more memorable,” said Bill Lewis, general manager of the Magnolia Hotel & Spa. “Each map is designed to guide guests beyond our doors, connecting them with the culture, scenery, and communities that make Southern Vancouver Island so special.”

Celebrating the journey from Victoria’s Inner Harbour and city lights to the Malahat Summit and onto the rolling farmland of the Cowichan Valley, the three new maps connect hotel guests with other locally and independently owned businesses and scenic gems. The maps provide a more meaningful way to explore Southern Vancouver Island’s coastal regions, where cultures are shaped by land and sea.

Coast & Culture: Victoria’s Harbour and Coastal Trail

From rugged mountain views to the rich history of the area’s Indigenous communities and first settlers, Victoria’s Inner Harbour and surrounding areas are easily reached from the Magnolia Hotel & Spa on foot. Starting at the Inner Harbour, learn about its history during an Explore Songhees tour with First Nations guides and at the Royal BC Museum. Join a tour with Dakini Tidal Wilds to learn about the abundance of life in the intertidal zone and its incredible varieties of seaweeds that thrive in the Salish Sea, before tucking into a locally-caught lunch at the Finest at Sea Food Truck. On the way back to the hotel, don’t miss the Chinatown Museum Society in Fan Tan Alley to better understand the history, culture and contributions of Chinese Canadians in Canada’s oldest Chinatown.

Sea to Summit: Malahat and Cowichan Coastal Trail

Discover Vancouver Island’s natural beauty from Victoria to the Cowichan Valley, just a short scenic drive from the Magnolia Hotel & Spa. On leaving the hotel, visit Goldstream Provincial Park for hiking trails through old-growth rainforest then head over the Malahat Summit, stopping at the spiral tower and elevated TreeWalk at the Malahat Skywalk, and onto Bamberton Provincial Park’s long sandy beach. Enjoy lunch at the charming Cowichan Bay Village before an afternoon at Bright Angel Park alongside the Koksilah River. Visit Duncan and Cowichan Valley Museum for a self-guided tour of 40 hand-carved totem poles and learn about the area’s important Indigenous history.

Coastal Bike Trail

Experience the city’s remarkable seaside beauty on two wheels, with one of the Magnolia Hotel & Spa’s hotel bikes, along this 7km route that takes in the fresh ocean breeze along Dallas Road, the quaint houseboats at Fisherman’s Wharf and the soaring trees and wildflowers of Beacon Hill Park. Route highlights include: Victoria’s iconic Inner Harbour and Parliament Buildings; Fisherman’s Wharf marine community; and Thunderbird Park with soaring, hand-carved replica totem poles, an enduring legacy to the city’s Indigenous population.
