Magnolia Hotel & Spa Unveils Refreshed Diamond Guestrooms

Original artworks and thoughtful design at Victoria’s leading boutique hotel

Victoria, BC (April 8th, 2026): The Magnolia Hotel & Spa is unveiling its newly refreshed Diamond guestrooms, offering an elegant haven in the heart of Victoria. The redesign introduces a calm, residential atmosphere with modern touches, creating a space where guests can truly relax and unwind.

Recognized as Canada’s #1 Hotel by Condé Nast Traveller readers and a MICHELIN One Key Hotel, the hotel’s long-standing dedication to thoughtful design and quality carries through in the guestroom updates, where every detail has been carefully considered to create a luxurious retreat.

Diamond guestrooms now feature a palette of rich grey velvets, soft camel tones, and warm brass accents in mirror frames and table lamps. Crisp, white Frette bedding and monogrammed accent pillows provide a modern, personalized contrast to the traditional cherry wood furnishings. By simplifying the décor and carefully selecting fewer, more meaningful elements, the rooms feel open and inviting.

“The goal was to create a high-end residential feel that’s relaxing and refined,” says interior designer Sharon Bortolotto of BBA Design Consultants. “By focusing on texture, tone and carefully curated pieces, each room becomes a sanctuary from which to explore the city.”

Every guestroom features original, signed artwork by Victoria artist Donna Anderson, whose inspiration is drawn from the shifting natural landscapes of the West Coast. Using acrylics and gels, Anderson builds texture and movement on canvas, capturing horizons, clouds, oceans and forests. Her work brings subtle depth and connection to the surrounding environment, enhancing the calm, refined atmosphere of the guestrooms.

“Our updated Diamond guestrooms reflect everything we value at the Magnolia Hotel & Spa – thoughtful touches, quiet luxury and Victoria’s unique character,” says Bill Lewis, General Manager. “Guests can enjoy the city at their doorstep, then return to a room that offers elegance and comfort, with one-of-a-king signed artwork adding a distinctive local touch and a reminder of Vancouver Island’s forests and shoreline beyond our walls.”

The refreshed Diamond guestrooms are now open for reservations, offering guests a carefully curated mix of comfort, art and design in the heart of Victoria. To learn more or book a stay, visit magnoliahotel.com
