Magnolia Hotel & Spa earns top honours from Condé Nast Traveler and MICHELIN

Victoria, BC (October 6, 2026): Today, the Magnolia Hotel & Spa was named #2 best hotel in Western Canada in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, adding to a growing list of accolades for the independently owned Victoria hotel.
The property was also named #7 best hotels in Canada in the 2026 UK edition of the prestigious awards list. These awards follow the news that the hotel recently retained its One MICHELIN Key status, one of only four hotels on Vancouver Island and ten across British Columbia to receive the distinction this year.
“This recognition from our guests in both North America and the UK is so important to us, and we’re incredibly honoured that so many chose to vote and share their love for the hotel,” says Bill Lewis, general manager of Magnolia Hotel & Spa. “Our team is proud to continue delivering the thoughtful, welcoming experience that has been at the heart of the hotel since our founders first opened the property in 1998. As we look ahead to our 30th anniversary in 2028, it’s wonderful to know that guests continue to value what makes our hotel so special.”
The awards come as Magnolia Hotel & Spa continues to invest in the property. Earlier this year, the hotel unveiled newly refreshed Diamond guestrooms, introducing a calm, residential atmosphere with modern touches, Frette bedding and original artwork by Victoria artist Donna Anderson, whose West Coast-inspired landscapes bring a local perspective to the redesigned spaces. Guestrooms on additional floors will be refreshed through the winter, with the entire hotel scheduled for completion in 2028.
To mark the awards, the hotel is offering a Celebration Sale with 25% off the Best Flexible Rate and a $25 per night credit for room service or to use in The Courtney Room. Bookings must be made by October 20th, 2026, for stays from October 13th, 2026 to January 31st, 2027. Blackout dates apply. To learn more or book a stay, visit magnoliahotel.com.
