Celebrate this Global Wine Appreciation Day (and record-setting sunny Vancouver weather!) over the weekend with a bottle of Le Vieux Pin‘s recent release, the 2012 Sauvignon Blanc. We love this wine’s impressive complexity and delicate balance. Each batch receives a unique treatment of oak, stainless steel, MLF and lees contact to achieve rich layers of tropical fruit, herbal notes and mineral characters.

Another one of our favourites is Tinhorn Creek Vineyards‘ new 2012 Oldfield Series 2Bench White, a refreshing blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Viognier and Muscat. The perfect summer sipper with notes of orchard fruit and tangy citrus, think apple, pear, kiwi, and gooseberry!
