Presenting Tiffany & Co. Masterpieces for Fall 2015

For Tiffany Masterpieces 2015, design director Francesca Amfitheatrof captures the moment when the stars come out and the New York City skyline rises to meet them. The designer celebrates this electrifying glamour with the world’s most beautiful diamonds.

“I’ve focused on diamonds to create an extremely modern collection that is very clean and sculptural,” Amfitheatrof says.

A necklace and bracelet of 18 karat gold chains and rose-cut diamonds are finished with tassels inspired by luxurious 1940s–1960s fashion and the “Hollywood Regency” decorative style. One of the earliest diamond cuts, the rose cut features triangular faceting that leads the eye deep into the stone. Tiffany artisans mounted the diamonds in hexagonal patterns, creating layers of texture that drape beautifully.

Amfitheatrof explored the Tiffany Archives for jewels of diamonds and platinum, the symbol of glamour throughout the jeweller’s 178-year history. A 1930s necklace becomes a contemporary masterpiece; its elegant lines are strong, geometric, the stones hand set in seamless formation. She achieves the same effortless beauty in earrings, pendants and bold, sculptural rings designed with mixed-cut diamonds—princess, square, baguette and round—in platinum.

The collection’s black-and-white jewels are elevated with new sophistication. A pendant’s abstract design of custom-cut black onyx squares and round diamonds sparkles with energy. Other jewels feature calibrated cut onyx alternating with diamonds.
