Ask the team: summer festivals and events

Spring is (nearly) in the air and we’re dreaming of the fun festivals and entertaining events that will be happening on the West Coast this summer. Here’s our team’s picks of what we’re looking forward to this sunny season to help beat the winter blues…
“I’m looking forward to Coachella in April. I went with a group of friends a couple of years ago and I can’t wait to go back. Aside from the music, the fashion, art and people-watching make this festival a stand-out and, unlike the festivals of my youth in the UK, you definitely don’t have to wear your wellies!”
Annabel Hawksworth, Agency Principal
“I can’t wait for the long, warm summer evenings and the North Vancouver Shipyards’ Night Market. With live music, arts and crafts for kids, veggie and fruit stands from the Fraser Valley, simply the best view of the city and so many food trucks; it’s the best place to be on a Friday night.”
Marisa Cuglietta, Account Director
“Washington State’s Watershed Country Music Festival in July: because I am a country music nerd and I would like to relive my youth going camping and getting drunk.”
Sarah Lusk, Account Manager
“My favourite summer event is the PNE. I don’t like going on the rides but I love to feast on the various BBQ items, watch the super dogs, play with cute farm animals and win tickets for silly prizes. Most of all I love mini donuts!”
Eva Gallagher, Account Assistant
“Even though I love being outdoors in the summer time, I am not really a festival-goer. However, I am really looking forward to all the summer food markets opening again – there is nothing better than strolling along the little market stalls and picking up fresh local produce. I can’t wait to eat juicy strawberries and nectarines again!”
