Cause We Care Launches 19th Annual Holiday Care Package Drive — Inviting the Community to ‘Spread a Little Happiness’ This Season

Vancouver, B.C. (November 12, 2025): Cause We Care Foundation, a Vancouver-based grassroots organization, is announcing the launch of its 19th annual Holiday Campaign. The campaign aims to raise funds to support low-income single mother-led families across the Lower Mainland by sending Care Packages filled with essentials, and treats to those in need, spreading a little happiness this holiday season.
“We all want to create magical holiday memories for our children,” says Andrea Thomas Hill, Founder of Cause We Care Foundation. “But for single mothers facing the rising cost of living, especially the soaring price of groceries, that dream can feel out of reach. Many tell us they skip meals so their children can eat. No mother should ever have to make that choice. These Care Packages provide much more than essentials and a grocery gift card for a festive meal — they bring joy and a reminder that they are not alone. Together, we are stronger.””
For many single mothers, the holidays bring more worry than joy. Rising costs can mean impossible choices between rent, groceries or gifts. Cause We Care’s Holiday Care Package Campaign spreads a little happiness when it’s needed most and reminds single mothers that their community cares.
Cause We Care aims to raise $300,000 before Drive Day on December 10th, when a dedicated group of volunteers will gather at the Rocky Mountaineer Train Station to assemble and deliver 1,200 Care Packages through a network of trusted frontline organizations, including the YWCA Cause We Care House, inner-city schools, community centres, and transition houses.
Donations can be made online, and supporters may choose to give in honour of a loved one with a personalized e-card, or buy care packages in bulk to support an entire frontline organizations—a meaningful way for companies to engage employees or give back in lieu of holiday gifts.
