Behind the Scenes – 23rd Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards

On Monday April 23rd, over 700 of Vancouver’s hospitality industry, media and foodies alike flocked to the Sheraton Wall Centre for the 23rd Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. Unquestionably the city’s most important food event of the year, we were thrilled to attend and be a part of the ultimate foodie extravaganza. The Restaurant Awards celebrate and honour the very best of Vancouver’s culinary talent and establishments. Top chefs prepared light bites as guests mingled over hand-crafted cocktails and vibrant BC wines (loved the Tinhorn Creek Vineyards Oldfield Series 2Bench Rose and Merlot).

A huge congratulations to Hawksworth Restaurant as the team received seven gold awards: Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year, Best New Restaurant, Best New Design, Best Upscale Restaurant, Sommelier of the Year and Premier Crew.

We also proudly congratulate Miradoro Restaurant of the award-winning Tinhorn Creek Vineyards for being named Best Winery / Vineyard Dining, and to Aura Restaurant of Nita Lake Lodge, runner up for Best Whistler!
