Drink of the Week – Cointreuse Fizz Cocktail from the 2012 Toast to the Coast
This week’s Drink of the Week we savoured at the 6th Annual Toast to the Coast that took place earlier this month on October 12th. Each year the Vancouver Aquarium transforms into a magical after-hours experience for Toast to the Coast where over 550+ professionals gather to celebrate great wine and fine food. Considered by many to be one of the top fundraising events in the city, Toast to the Coast continues to grow bigger and better – this year raising over $100,000! A great event with a good cause, 100% of the event proceeds support the Aquarium’s commitment to effecting the conservation of aquatic life and our waterways.
The highlight cocktail of the evening was a Cointreuse Fizz by the Donnelly Group Bar & Beverage Director Trevor Kallies. This special cocktail is a mix of Cointreau, gin, Chartreuse, fresh lemon juice and sparkling wine. Cheers to another successful year!
