Foodie Friday – Street Eats and Beats Festival

We love some beats with our eats so tonight we are heading to Granville Island at 6pm for the Street Eats and Beats festival under Granville Bridge. We’re looking forward to trying six local food trucks; Le Tigre, Mogu, Fresh Local Wild, Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck, Re-up BBQ and Varinicey Pakoras. We’re also excited to try some Lions Winter Ale from Granville Island Brewing and Sumac Ridge wines from the Okanagan.

Whilst we chow down on the street food we’ll be enjoying music from Vancouver-based DJ Freelance, who will be accompanied by jazz-trained saxophonist Kosta Sax and funky saxophone player Buddha Sax and djembe, congas and drum-playing Pher Percussionist. This first event is so popular it’s already sold out… fingers crossed there will be another one soon. Meanwhile we’ll be munching away until midnight tonight under the bridge!
