Drink of the Week – Glass of 2011 Calliope Riesling from the BCBusiness Relaunch Party

This week’s Drink of the Week is a glass of 2011 Calliope Riesling that we tried at the BCBusiness relaunch party this week hosted at CinCin. We enjoyed an afternoon gathered with great writers and industry friends over tasty canapes by CinCin’s talented chefs and wine, while getting a first look at the new layout of the magazine. In addition to the magazine refresh, readers can expect a new iPad app as well as a revamped website. Thanks for a great party!

The 2011 Calliope Riesling is produced by the Wyse Family, founders of Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. A fresh, zingy Riesling with aromas of lemon, minerals, pineapple, fennel, spring flowers and a touch of ginger spice. The palate is delicate and elegant yet with vibrant acidity and flavours of apple, peach and pear with a long, spicy finish.
