Drink of the Week – ‘The White Lady’ Cocktail at Hawksworth Bar and Lounge

image

Yesterday evening we met with a small group of media as well as Tiffany & Co. Group Director Canada West, Rob Ferguson, for an exclusive advanced screening of The Great Gatsby. To kick off the evening we gathered at Hawksworth Bar & Lounge for classic 1920s cocktails, champagne, and delicious light bites including fresh oysters, tuna and beef ‘sushi’ and salmon gravlax (now available on the menu).

One of our new favourites is ‘The White Lady’ recommended by Head Bartender, Cooper Tardivel, a refreshing mix of Beefeater Gin, Cointreau, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup (egg white is optional). It was delicious!

Stop by Hawksworth Bar & Lounge for this perfect Jazz Age imbibe, or try your hand at this cocktail at home before heading to The Great Gatsby out in theatres tomorrow!

Ingredients:
1.5oz Beefeater Gin
0.75oz Cointreau
0.75oz fresh lemon juice
Dash of simple syrup
(Egg white optional, as multiple recipes from that famed era support conflicting executions)

Method:
Dry shake / hard shake – strain in chilled cocktail coupe
