Drink of the Week – ‘The 15th and Maple’ Cocktail from Shake Up Yaletown

Last Thursday local foodies and cocktalians flocked to Minami Restaurant for Shake Up Yaletown. The fun cocktail competition featured six of Yaletown’s top bartenders as they blended premium ingredients with Bacardi rum, for the title of People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice for best cocktail. We were spoiled with an impressive selection of cocktails made exclusively for Taste of Yaletown, paired with exquisite canapés by Minami.
Congratulations to Julia Diakow, talented Mixologist with The New Oxford, as her signature ‘15th & Maple’ cocktail was awarded Judge’s Choice. Also congratulations to Christian Matifat with Killjoy, awarded People’s Choice for his tasty cocktial. The perfect fall sipper, try your hand at the delicious ’15th & Maple’ cocktail over the weekend and really wow your friends!
The 15th & Maple
1 1/2 oz Bacardi Oakheart
1/2 oz Benedictine
1 1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz Apple Cider
1/2 oz Walnut infused Maple Syrup
1 oz egg white

Dry Shake, then shake with ice and strain
2 dash nutmeg garnish
