Style meets substance for La Pentola’s fabulous new look for fall

Locals and visitors alike are falling in love with La Pentola’s new artistic addition to the Yaletown restaurant’s exterior wall. La Pentola restaurant, situated in the heart of OPUS Hotel, unveils its new logo and menus with a fun and funky wall art called ‘It’s Love Baby’, which can be found outside under the new awnings. Created by local graphic design artist Oliver Fletcher, the typography is the same style as La Pentola’s new branding, which celebrates a casual, cheeky and playful side of the restaurant. Art installations will be updated seasonally, showcasing Vancouver artists and giving guests a thought-provoking piece to enjoy.

Cozy up in the refreshed restaurant this fall to enjoy classic Italian fare with a modern twist made using local and seasonal ingredients. La Pentola’s popular Alla Famiglia menus offer five ($55pp) or seven course ($65pp) family-style dinners and allow Chef Travis McCord  to take you on a seasonal culinary journey – guests simply let the kitchen know preferences and are presented with a feast to share as a table.

Signature dishes include vitello tonnato and parmesan soufflé, as well as fresh hand-cut pasta such as butternut squash and ricotta ravioli with chestnuts and brown butter sage sauce, or pappardelle with roasted local porcini and pork sausage. Meat lovers can also enjoy locally sourced dishes such as Fraser Valley duck with squash purée, mostarda, hazelnut, farro and grilled radicchio.

Take a seat at the bar to enjoy crostini with ricotta, honey and candied pecans or assaggini (small bites) of parmesan seared tuna or fresh Italian burrata. From 9pm until late, Happy Hour features include $6 negronis, $5 red or white wine and $4 local craft beers, alongside $5 bites such as baccala (salted cod) on toast and meatballs in tomato sauce.
