The Courtney Room Announces Summer Family Dinner Series

Gather with family and friends and enjoy innovative, hyper-local monthly dinners

The Courtney Room is excited to announce a family dinner series, with three dates throughout the summer, starting this Sunday, July 14th.

The long-table format, held in the restaurant’s brasserie, will showcase an innovative, experimental menu with the very best of Victoria’s hyper-seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, led by co-Chef de Cuisine, Brian Tesolin. This casual yet immersive culinary experience will reflect the skills and personalities of the talented, award-winning chef team, allowing them the freedom to test potential new menu items and let their creativity shine.

“We wanted to create an affordable dining experience that not only brings people together but also allows our team to have some serious fun in the kitchen,” says Chef Brian Tesolin. “This multi-course, family-style dining series gives us the chance to create a very innovative yet approachable menu that best represents the incredible produce found in our region – summer berries, apricot, nectarines alongside beans, summer squash in July and red fruits, squashes, chanterelle, pine and oyster mushrooms later in the summer.”

In collaboration with de Vine Wines & Spirits from the Saanich Peninsula, The Courtney Room’s first family dinner kicks-off on Sunday July 14, 2019 at 7:00pm ($35/person). de Vine Wines will be available at special prices, with owner Kirsten Titcombe on hand to answer any questions and provide insight into their hand-crafted approach. Alternatively, guests can opt for cocktail pairings ($30/person, 3 cocktails or $12/cocktail). This Sunday’s menu will start with canapés including smoked salmon chicharron and crispy nori with a mustard emulsion, and follow with three-courses of innovative dishes including: summer berry and lardo salad with horseradish and arugula; chickpea falafel with beet and riatagrilled lamb chorizo with mint, pine nuts and cascara; slow baked steelhead featuring lemon purée, endive and rice crackers; and smoky eggplant with beans and chermoula

The family dinner series continues on Sunday, August 11th with wine specials from A Sunday in August and Sunday, September 8th with Pender Island’s, Twin Island Cider
