Beat the January Blues with Hawksworth’s New A La Carte Menus, Cocktail Hour and Dine Out Vancouver Features
Now welcoming diners for lunch and dinner, every Tuesday through Saturday, Hawksworth Restaurant offers a brand new A La Carte Menu at lunch and dinner alongside new Dine Out Menus, available January 14-31. Recently recognized on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2022 Gold List, the restaurant’s dishes are beautifully executed and feature only the very best quality ingredients.
“We’ve designed these menus to be colourful and bright, with robust flavour combinations to excite taste buds and keep our guests nurtured and nourished through the long winter months,” says Chef and owner David Hawksworth. “My personal favourites currently include the organic chicken power bowl at lunch with juicy shredded chicken, soy-peanut dressing, rice noodles and papaya – it takes me to my happy place – and from our a la carte dinner menu, king oyster and celery agnolotti. We make the pasta in-house and serve it with a light hazelnut and celery foam – it’s really delicious!”
Hawksworth’s Cocktail Hour Menu is back (4pm-6pm, Tue-Sat) and would never be complete without the return of the popular ‘KFC’ Korean fried cauliflower, sesame, cilantro ($9) and the B&B hawksworth classic burger and beverage – old fashioned or parallel 49 craft lager ($19). An elevated pastry program complements the savoury dishes with offerings that include a sampling of mignardises ($2 each) for the table with delicate pâte de fruit, caramel and chocolates. The classic French pastry, Mont Blanc chestnut, pear and vanilla ($13) is named for the snowy capped mountain it represents.
During the Dine Out Vancouver Festival, January 14-31, set menus offer exceptional value. The three-course lunch menu ($29) features: squash salad, kale, sunchoke, pomegranate vinaigrette followed by a smoked fish chowder, clams, smoked bacon, toasted baguette and a passion fruit & vanilla banana cake, vanilla cream for dessert. The dinner menu ($59) also features three delicious courses: squash veloute, sautéed mushrooms, spiced cream, croutons followed by braised brisket, red cabbage, carrot puree, brussel leaves for the main course and dark chocolate, caramelized pear, crunchy hazelnut praline to finish.
