Chef David Hawksworth x Whistler Blackcomb Summer Alpine Pop-Up August 8th

Hawksworth Restaurant to host the first full-service outdoor dining experience on Whistler Blackcomb 

Whistler Blackcomb, B.C. (July 11, 2024 ) – Celebrated Chef David Hawksworth and his talented culinary team at Hawksworth Restaurant are pleased to announce a partnership with Whistler Blackcomb for the first, outdoor dining pop-up event atop Whistler Mountain. Guests are invited to experience a masterfully crafted four-course dinner with welcome cocktail and complementing wine pairings, from 4pm until 8pm, while absorbing the breathtaking views of the summer alpine.

This unforgettable culinary event at Whistler Blackcomb is one of many summer alpine adventures that the renowned destination offers. Tickets for the dinner include a full day, unlimited use scenic access ticket to the Summer Alpine Experience (value $99) to be used in advance of the event; an invitation for guests to ride the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, take advantage of over 50k of hiking trails or mount the Peak Chair to the summit to access the Cloudraker Skybridge and the Raven’s Eye.

The Hawksworth pop-up will be held at Whistler’s Roundhouse Lodge on the Valley View patio, where guests will be greeted with live entertainment, a signature cocktail and a selection of canapés. Dishes will be expertly paired with wines from Tantalus, with Winemaker David Paterson joining to introduce his meticulously crafted wines.

Skilled techniques and enticing flavour combinations are sure to leave a lasting impression, with  menu highlights including: wild, locally caught salmon gravlax, with golden beets, granny smith apple, and a buttermilk dressing followed by a delectable duo of beef: braised short rib, wagyu flank, with pomme fondant, and sour cherry jus. Pemberton valley greens, and conehead cabbage with miso and honey will be served family-style to guests seated at convivial harvest tables. To conclude, a beautifully balanced desert of okanagan peach rhum baba, delivers the subtle sweetness of local summer fruit with the classic soft doughy cake.


The Hawksworth pop-up on Whistler Mountain will be held on Thursday August 8th and is priced at $199.00 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and includes a welcome cocktail, four-course menu with wine pairings, live entertainment and full-day gondola access to alpine adventures.
