Hawksworth Restaurant Launches “Cocktails From the Cup” Ahead of Vancouver’s World Cup Summer

Eight original cocktails inspired by global flavours join a season of dining experiences as Hawksworth celebrates 15 years

Vancouver, B.C. (June xx, 2026) –  As Vancouver prepares to welcome visitors from around the world for this summer’s World Cup matches, Hawksworth Restaurant is raising a glass to the occasion with Cocktails From the Cup, a collection of eight original cocktails inspired by the flavours, ingredients and traditions of countries represented during the tournament.

Created by the Hawksworth beverage team under the direction of Tim Lambden, Beverage Director for Hawksworth Group, the menu explores Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, New Zealand, Australia, Qatar and Egypt through a series of inventive cocktails and non-alcoholic creations. Drawing inspiration from regional ingredients, culinary traditions and cultural touchstones, the collection celebrates the global spirit of the World Cup while showcasing the creativity of Vancouver’s hospitality community.

“Major international events like the World Cup create opportunities for people to connect through food, drink and shared experiences,” says Lambden. “We wanted to create a cocktail collection that reflects the diversity of the countries being celebrated this summer while highlighting thoughtful ingredients, classic techniques and a sense of fun.”

Guests can expect bright fruit, aromatic botanicals, house infusions and globally inspired flavour combinations throughout the menu.

Notable cocktails include:

  • Maple & Spruce Sour (Canada) ($18), featuring Lot 40 Rye, Woods Amaro Classico, lemon, maple and bitters. A distinctly Canadian take on a classic sour, balancing warming rye whisky with notes of forest and maple sweetness.
  • Kiwi Gimlet (New Zealand) ($18), combining Tanqueray Gin, Sauvignon Blanc, lime and fresh kiwi. Bright, crisp and refreshing, inspired by New Zealand’s celebrated wine regions and abundant fruit.
  • Grand Bazaar Fizz (Turkey) ($19), made with fig-infused Ketel One Vodka, Cointreau, pomegranate, lemon, honey, sage, soda and orange blossom. Aromatic and effervescent, the cocktail draws inspiration from the vibrant flavours and spice markets of Istanbul.

Additional cocktails include the Williams Spritz (Switzerland), Lemon Myrtle & Macadamia Negroni (Australia) and Trappist Old Fashioned (Belgium), alongside two non-alcoholic options: Desert Mirage (Egypt) and Nomadic Iced Chai (Qatar).

The launch coincides with Hawksworth Restaurant’s 15th anniversary celebrations and a summer lineup of dining experiences designed to welcome both visitors and locals. Guests can enjoy a $36 Business Lunch on weekdays, the $68 First Seating menu from 4–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, daily Cocktail Hour, Oysters & Bubbles Fridays and Sunday Funday alongside the restaurant’s popular Sunday Roast.

Throughout the tournament period, Hawksworth will also open for lunch on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 21, with Sunday Funday pricing available throughout the day.
