Hawksworth x Gushue Collaboration Dinner
Vancouver, B.C. (June 27, 2024) – Hawksworth Restaurant is thrilled to announce an exclusive culinary collaboration with renowned Canadian Chef Jonathan Gushue. This exquisite dining experience on Sunday, July 14th, showcases the culinary mastery of Chef Gushue alongside Chef David Hawksworth and his team, including Hawksworth’s Head Chef Sylvain Assie, and Pastry Chef Marissa Gonzalez. Together, they will present guests with a meticulously crafted seven-course menu featuring the finest locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, highlighting the casual excellence of contemporary Canadian cuisine at its finest.
With over two decades of culinary expertise, Chef Jonathan Gushue is celebrated for his inventive approach to cooking that centers around tradition, locality and imagination. Gushue has consulted for notable establishments such as the world renowned Fogo Island Inn (in his home province of Newfoundland) The Elora Mill Hotel and Spa and at Ontario’s Langdon Hall where he helped secure its place on the S. Pellegrino list of World’s Best Restaurants. His international experience includes two years cooking in Japan as well as time spent in London, England. His remarkable culinary style and sophistication can currently be found at The Gate in Grey Highlands, Ontario, the restaurant he recently co-founded alongside front-of-house veteran Jennifer Belanger. Gushue is a Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef and has earned accolades such as the Tattinger Award of Excellence in Cuisine (2008) and Canadian Chef of the Year (2010).

Using the finest locally sourced ingredients, the menu includes flavours that shine in the summer months. Highlights from the evenings menu include: chilled heirloom tomato water, confit tomato, compressed watermelon, iberico ham crostini
followed by sablefish, chanterelle, peach, green garlic broth

This dinner experience is priced at $198.00 per person for the seven-course menu and guests can enhance their dining experience with exceptional wine pairings, carefully curated by the talented Hawksworth sommelier team, led by Chris Reilly priced at $90.00 per guest. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Growing Chefs, helping kids connect with food.
